About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering and product thinking. You'll own major product surfaces, work directly with design and product, and set the bar for quality across the codebase. At Obsidion, we move fast and build products that directly impact how small businesses grow. This role sits at the heart of that mission — you'll have real ownership, real responsibility, and real impact from day one.
What You'll Do
- Own and ship major customer-facing features from conception to production.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to define the right technical approach.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack.
- Lead technical discovery and scoping for complex new initiatives.
- Establish engineering standards and review peers' code with constructive feedback.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap prioritization conversations.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of full-stack or product engineering experience.
- Deep experience with React/Next.js and a modern backend stack.
- Strong product intuition and ability to make sound scope tradeoffs.
- Track record of shipping high-quality, user-impacting features.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI-powered product features (completions, embeddings, agents, etc.).
- Background working in a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
