About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to manage and grow our engineering organization as we scale. You'll set technical direction, grow world-class engineers, and ensure we ship with speed and quality. At Obsidion, we move fast and build products that directly impact how small businesses grow. This role sits at the heart of that mission — you'll have real ownership, real responsibility, and real impact from day one.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a team of 8–15 engineers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Set technical direction and ensure architectural decisions align with business goals.
- Drive engineering culture, quality standards, and best practices.
- Partner with Product and Design to define roadmaps and ensure timely delivery.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent.
- Manage team velocity, planning, and incident response.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ in an engineering management role.
- Deep technical background in modern web or backend systems.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally.
- Experience managing distributed, remote-first engineering teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience scaling a SaaS product from early-stage to growth.
- Background in AI/ML infrastructure or product development.
